He Is Good For Super Eagles - Pinnick Heaps Praises On Rohr

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick, has demonstrated some form of confidence ahead of the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifiers cracker between the Super Eagles and Chipolopolo of Zambia in Ndola October 9, Vanguard writes.

In a recent chat in Abuja, Pinnick hailed the appointment of Gernot Rohr, stating that the Eagles have been on the up since the German took over and was positive the team could clinch the sole qualifying ticket for the Russia Mundial despite a tough group that also features African powerhouses Cameroon and Algeria.

“We have a good coach and the best set of players in Africa, and I believe these two factors will help us qualify for Russia 2018,” an exuberant Pinnick said.

“My dream is not just to qualify for the World Cup but to reach the last four of the tournament. We don’t have all the funds we need right now but I’m sure the team is currently in a good hands.”

Rohr on Thursday released a strong 23-man squad for the Zambia clash with in form Manchester City young star, Kelechi Iheanacho and Arsenal sensation Alex Iwobi headlining the list.
