PSG Star Sentenced To Two Months In Prison For Assault
Paris Saint Germain full-back, Serge Aurier has been sentenced to two months in prison for assaulting a police officer.
The Ivory Coast 23-year-old international, was stopped by police in his Porsche Cayenne, asked to take a breath test after leaving a Parisian nightclub, but he instead abused and acted violently towards the police officers, before elbowing an officer in the chest on May 30th.
Aurier was ordered to pay €600 in fines by the Paris Correctional tribuanal, with further €1,500 in costs.
Aurier is also likely to receive a suspended sentence and perform community service rather than jail time.
With three Ligue 1 titles to his name, Aurier has appeared five times for the French champions this season and is available for selection for their Champions League match at Ludogorets on Wednesday.
Aurier has already confirmed plans to appeal his guilty verdict.
