Swansea Wants To Appoint Giggs As Manager But There Is A Big Concern

Swansea City’s board member have been deliberating on the chances of hiring Ryan Giggs as replacement for their under performing manager, Francesco Guidolin.

But there is a huge stumbling block about the possibilities of a discussion as following the Manchester United legend's lack managerial experience

Giggs is on a shortlist of possible candidates to take over if the club’s American ownership dismiss Italian Francesco Guidolin and there is a confidence at the club that the former United assistant manager would be open to talks if they did approach him, according to the Daily Mail.

Nothing is certain yet, however, as Swansea owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien are believed to be inclined towards giving more time to Guidolin, 60, who signed a two-year contract four months ago.

They are reported to be keen for stability, though Swansea’s form under Guidolin has been underwhelming and support from the dressing room has not been the best.

Chairman Huw Jenkins is understood to be open to making a change and is known to be an admirer of Giggs.

The next week will be key, and despite the ownership’s support for Guidolin, he is under pressure and needs his team to show improvement in forthcoming Premier League fixtures with Manchester City and Liverpool if he is to keep his job.
