Cardiff Confirm The Signing Of Marouane Chamakh, Two Other Players

Cardiff City FC has announced the signing of Canadian 26-year-old, Junior Hoilett until the summer of 2017; Ivory Coast's Sol Bamba until the summer of 2018 and Moroccan international Marouane Chamakh.

Hoilett said:

I’m really pleased to be here and I’m ready to go.

The Manager puts belief in his players and this is a great group of lads. Everyone loves playing for the Gaffer.

I’m here to hopefully bring some more creativity and goals. I can’t wait to get started.
First Team Manager Neil Warnock added
Junior did well for me at QPR and by the time I left there was one of the Club’s most important players.

I’m delighted to have him here with us at Cardiff City and I know that he’ll respond to the the fans and me.

What’s more, he’s a player who will help bring the best out of those around him.

Bamba said:
I’m excited to be here. I always want to work with the gaffer, so as soon as this chance arose I jumped at it.

I know the league very well and am looking forward to offering my experience and leadership to Cardiff City.
Neil Warnock added:
I tried to sign Sol a few years ago when he was at Leicester, on a couple of occasions. They didn’t come off then, but now is the right time and opportunity to bring him in.

Sol’s a leader and he’s another good addition for us.
Chamakh said:
I’m so happy to be here and work with the Manager again.

I worked for him at Crystal Palace before and I’m happy and proud to work with him here at Cardiff City FC.

Cardiff are a side that should be on top and I think we can improve going forward. I’m looking forward to meeting with my new team-mates and getting started. I can’t wait to score for my new team.
Neil Warnock added:
We’ve signed Marouane on a short-term deal until January to assess his fitness.

He’s a versatile player with pedigree and somebody who impressed me during my time at Crystal Palace.
