In a statement that was signed by its Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Chris Iwarah, the airline expressed regret that its customers had to go through a lot of strain due to an occurrence that was beyond its control.

Air Peace explained that it was compelled to deboard its Owerri-bound passengers when it became obvious that its flights to and from the city could no longer take off because of lack of facilities for night operations at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri.

The airline added that it had to bear the huge cost of accommodating the affected passengers in hotels, besides compensating them with free tickets on their next flight.
