Breaking: Appeal Court Orders INEC To Name Jegede As PDP Candidate 

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has set aside Justice Okon Abang’s ruling that gave the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) order to publish businessman cum politician, Jimoh Ibrahim’s name as Ondo PDP canditade for Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Ondo state.

The Court justices led by Ibrahim Saulawa said the principle of natural justice demands that all sides are given fair hearing, stating that Justice Abang committed grievous error when it replaced Eyitayo Jegede with Ibrahim.

Justice Saulawa says replacing Jegede with Ibrahim without hearing Jegede was breach of fair hearing, even as it nullified the convention that produced Jimoh Ibrahim as an “illegal contraption.”
