Consumption Of Local Aphrodisiac Made Man Kill His Concubine With Sex

A man has been arrested and arraigned before the court for causing the death of his concubine after literally plying her with killer sex, on account of a herbal aphrodisiac.

Fatai Busari, appeared before the Chief Magistrate of Iyanganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Mrs Abiona Richard, on Tuesday  for causing the death of 48-year-old Sadiat Adejuwon on 10 October, around 3.00p.m. at Asaka area, Ibadan. He had allegedly consumed a very potent herbal aphrodisiac which apparently gave him unmatched vigour and running time in the bedroom but unfortunately led to his partner’s death.

The 50-year-old who was remanded in Agodi prison before his appearance in court was arraigned on a one-count charge of causing death. According to the prosecutor, Cpl. Salewa Hammed, Adejuwon died while she and Busari were having sex in his house, Punch reports.

“Busari and the deceased woman worked as casual workers cleaning the street and they were dating.

“On the fateful day, Busari drank herbal concoction to boost his manhood before sleeping with her.

“It was afterwards that he realised that something was amiss when he noticed blood flowing out of her private part. She later died at the spot and he raised alarm,” Hammed told the court.

Hammed said that the offence committed contravened section 316 and was punishable under section 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

One wonders if Busari’s lawyer would site the classic defence for such cases: ‘Violenti non fit injuria‘, this term simply means that harm cannot be said to have been done to a willing participant. This, particularly because the lovers ordinarily expected to derive pleasure from the infamous herbal aphrodisiac.

Mrs Abiona Richard adjourned the case till 30 November and ordered the suspect remain remanded at the Agodi prison, pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
