Court Grants Fani-Kayode N50 Million BailReports reaching circulating presently have it that, Nigeria's former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has been granted bail in the sum of N50m.
A report monitored on the twitter handle of the Director, New Media, Peoples Democratic Party, Deji Adeyanju (@adeyanjudeji), noted that the beleaguered ex-ministered posted the bail in Abuja Thursday morning (today).
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Fani-Kayode before Justice James Tsoho on Thursday on a five-count charge of money laundering to the tune of N26m.
In his Judgment, Justice Tsoho granted the bail request of Fani-Kayode’s lawyer, Afedayo Adedipe (SAN), on the ground that the offence was bailable.
The judge fixed December 14, for the commencement of trial.
