Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi and Anthony Davis are officially a couple.  the openly homosexual Nigerian activist and his partner were joined in matrimony at the Burford Bridge Hotel on Old London Road on Saturday, November 5 and they are surrounded by their loved ones, family and friends.
Dressed in a stunning Yoruba boy getup – a flamboyant purple agbada, the look completed with the necessary fila and beads, Alimi remained the charming bloke with his British partner Davis, standing by his side in a tuxedo.

Bisi Alimi had prepared fans for the grand occasion with a countdown of life-changing experiences that led to his marriage to Davis, one of which includes fleeing the country after coming out on a national TV.  The memory remains fresh; on October 6, 2004, Alimi took a decision that marked a new beginning in his life, but it was also was the end of Nigeria’s favourite media personality, Funmi Iyanda’s breakfast show, New Dawn, on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
