Killer Kid: 12-Year Old Boy Stabs Another 11-Year Old To Death

A 12-year-old boy was charged to court and later released into his mother’s care after stabbing another boy, 11-year-old Granville Bosel to death in South Africa.

According to Times Live, the sad incident occurred in Strand during a street fight on Saturday. Bosel who lived in the Nomzamo area of town was visiting his grandmother while his parents vacationed for the weekend in another city. It is unclear what led to the altercation, but at 6pm at the Secor Park, Bosel was stabbed in the chest by the 12-year-old kid and he died in the streets due to the extent of his injuries.

The victim, who sustained a stab wound to the chest, died at the scene due to the extent of his injuries,” the Western Cape police spokesman FC van Wyk said, adding, “A murder case was opened for investigation.”

The young attacker was arrested yesterday and charged to court but was released today to his mother’s care until his next court date of December 13.

Speaking with the press, Bosel’s school principal, Heinz Swart, said the deceased was a talented cricket player who made the school proud.

“The cricket team was basically built around him and he was going to take part in the under-12 trials, even though he was under 11,” Swart said. “He was a boy who set a wonderful example for his friends and classmates. He came out of difficult circumstances, but he walked the narrow road.

“Although he was very quiet, everyone looked up to him because of his example and the life he was living,” the principal said.
