Enugu Rangers Players Get Cash And Land Gifts From Governor 

Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has rewarded reigning Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Rangers with a plot of land each as well as cash gifts totaling N41.5 million.

This was disclosed during their victory reception at the Michael Okpara Square in Enugu, with the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III, a big fan of Rangers and who started his military career in Nsukka, in attendance.

“We commend Rangers for reviving the famous Rangers spirit and making the club great again,” said Governor Ugwuanyi.

“We dedicate this trophy to the Almighty God.”

The team will be hosted to a dinner at The Dome later on Tuesday (today) before officially receiving their plots of land at the Rangers Estate, Enugu.

In a related news, star forward Chisom Egbuchulam has left for Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel as negotiations enter advanced stages.

“Chisom has left for Tunisia to undergo a medical with Etoile du Sahel,” a top source at the club told Africanfootball.com.

“The two clubs are now discussing a transfer fee for the player. “Etoile want to pay $150,000, but Rangers now want $250,000 after they first demanded for $500,000.”

Egbuchulam became hot property after banging in 16 goals to power the Flying Antelopes to their first Nigerian title in 32 years last season.
