UCL Record: Dortmund Score Most Goals In Group Stages

Borussia Dortmund have scored more goals in the group stages than any other side in Champions League history.

Fighting back from 2-0 down the German giants secured a draw at the Santiago Bernabeu in order to top Group F and became the Champions League’s top scorers at this stage in the process.

Their two goals tonight took their tally to 21 goals in the group stages – a competition record.

Dortmund are now one of only four teams to score more than 20 goals in the group stages, along with Manchester United (1998-99), Barcelona (2011-12, 2016-17) and Real Madrid (2013-14) all scoring 20 in the past.

Legia Warsaw 0-6 Dortmund
Dortmund 2-2 Real Madrid
Sporting 1-2 Dortmund
Dortmund 1-0 Sporting
Dortmund 8-4 Legia Warsaw
Real Madrid 2-2 Dortmund

The majority of their goals came against Legia Warsaw, who they scored 14 against in total.

Sporting Lisbon were the only side to limit Dortmund to scoring just one goal in a match.

Let's see what happens in the next round.
