Cameroonian Legend, Samuel Eto'o Join New Club, Amkar

Legendary Cameroonian frontman, Samuel Eto’o has joined Russian Premier League side Amkar on a short term deal.

Eto’o was unveiled by the club on Thursday, after joining for an undisclosed fee from Antalyspor where he spent 18 months.

The 35-year-old was dropped by Antalyspor in September 2016 after he accused the club of racism on Instagram.

The Barcelona legend's stay with the Turkish club has now ended as he makes a return to Russia where he first played for Anzhi Makhachkala between 2011 and 2014.

Amkar is Eto’o’s 11th as he has represented the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea.

Eto’o has played for clubs in five different countries winning league titles in Spain and Italy.

Samuel Eto'o was let go by Chelsea in the summer after the expiration of the one-year contract he signed with the club.

He has won the Champions League thrice with Barcelona (two) and Inter Milan.
