Death Rumour: Buhari's Supporter Beat Taxi Driver To Coma In Delta

A taxi driver in Asaba capital of Delta state, is presently receiving treatment after he was attacked by a President Buhari supporter for allegedly spreading rumours about the president’s supposed death.

The incident occurred at a newspaper stand where the taxi driver and his attacker, identified as Usman Bukar from Kano state, usually joined a group of other residents to glance through newspapers.

According to Vanguard, the taxi driver was seen visibly happy and overheard to have said: “The body of the President should be thrown into River-Niger for fish and other wild animals to do justice on him. He is very wicked.”

Bukar thereafter pounced on the driver and knocked him unconscious with a slap.

Other readers were said to have rushed the driver to a nearby private hospital while some of his relatives tried to attack the Buhari supporter but were prevented by policemen.

Spokesman of the Delta state police command, Andrew Aniamaka confirmed that the taxi driver was responding to treatment while the Buhari supporter had been arrested and detained for interrogation.

Meanwhile, new pictures of President Buhari and his wife, Aisha in London have emerged, with the president standing and sitting at different times, looking slightly frail but possibly healthy.
