EFL Cup: Man Utd Set Up Wembley Showdown With Southampton [REPORT]

Manchester United have booked their place in this year's English Football League Cup on Thursday by a 3-2 aggregate victory after losing 2-1 to Hull City on the night at the KCOM Stadium.

Tom Huddlestone gave a new looked Hull City the lead after 35 minutes from the penalty spot, but they were unable to capitalise on it and allowed a settled United to claw their way back into the match after the restart when Paul Pogba poked home an equaliser.

Oumar Niasse steered home a David Meyler cross from close range to set up a grand-stand finish, but Jose Mourinho’s side, who took a 2-0 lead from the first-leg, held on to set up a final clash against Southampton as they chase a fifth League Cup and first since 2010.
